Hours: Our rustic 7,500 square foot barn provides comfort for animals and visitors, rain or shine. Open Memorial Day weekend - Columbus Day weekend. Wednesdays - Saturdays 10 a.m. - 4 pm / Sundays 12 - 4 p.m. Also open Mondays over Memorial Day, Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends from 12-4 p.m.
Directions: The Retreat Farm is located at 350 Linden Street (Route 30), just outside downtown Brattleboro.
From the North or South, take I-91 to Exit 2 Follow the signs to downtown Brattleboro and then the signs to Route 30.
From the West, take Route 9 to downtown Brattleboro and then follow the signs to Route 30.
From the East, take Route 9 to the rotary. Go south on Route 5 (Putney Road) and follow the signs to Route 30.
What You'll See:Retreat Petting Farm Feed and touch more than 50 animals on the farm and learn about these lovable creatures. Unique play areas round out the experience. How would you like to hold a newly hatched chick? Feed a one ton oxen? Groom a miniature horse? Play with baby goats and lambs? Feed the piglets? Visit with the farmer? Drive toy trucks? Play in the old silo? And receive a kiss from a majestic llama! You can do that and much more at the Farm.

The Retreat Trails The Retreat Farm is home to one of the five trail heads for the nine-mile Retreat Trail recreation network. Trails are open year-round for walkers, hikers, bikers, equestrians, nordic skiers and snowshoers. Pets are welcome on leashes. No motorized vehicles. Learn more here.
Grafton Village Cheese The Retreat farmstead site is home to Grafton Village Cheese's second production facility. This award-winning Vermont cheddar only uses milk from Vermont family farms. In our Specialty Cheese & Wine Shoppe, you can watch our cheddar being made and taste the final product. The shop includes 80+ artisanal cheeses from around the world, wine, fresh bread, Vermont products, gifts, specialty foods and much more. Open daily 10-6 (Mon-Sat) and 10-5 (Sun).
